Handbooks
If you have not yet reviewed your handbook against recent and pending changes, we are offering a FREE mini-review to see how far up to date you are. To take advantage of this offer, mail a copy of your handbook and statement of terms to info@irenicon.co.uk.
If you have already rewritten your handbook and want an intelligent friend to work through it and see how it holds up - talk to us about our 2nd chair service. We write and review large numbers of handbooks, and our experience can easily be added to your own, so you can be confident you have covered the bases when issuing a new handbook.
We can do this by reviewing the documents, meeting you and discussing the implications of your wording and the choices you have made, or by running a training programme for you and your potential end users (the line managers) to evaluate how well they understand the draft wording and its potential uses and limitations in day to day management.
We can help you project manager your own re-writes and updates, either by telephone, web conferencing, meeting, training, or any other combination that helps you to develop your own team's understanding and deliver appropriate material for your organisation.
 We can help with:
- Contracts of employment, management and director service agreements, handbooks - reviewing and drafting;
- Policies - reviewing, updating and writing appropriate policies that help you deal with issues in a way that suits your organisation;
- Writing workbooks (paper or for your intranet system) to allow your managers to deal with routine problems such as sickness, maternity leave, parental leave, data protection, discipline and dismissal, etc;
- Structuring workforce agreements to help you tailor many aspects of employment law to suit your business;
- Drafting packs for elected representatives for workplace agreements, redundancies, TUPE, other statutory purposes;
- Drafting standard letters for redundancy consultations and selection, discipline and dismissal, appeals and grievances
- Compromise agreements for employers
 Policies
We are well aware that many organisations offer standard policies. We don't start with a blank sheet, but we do not expect a standard policy to fit your requirements precisely. Our aim is to tailor policies to ensure you and your line managers can comply with them, rather than make promises you may not be able to deliver on.
If you would like us to review an existing policy, please send it to: advice@irenicon.co.uk

We work for a wide variety of clients : individual employees, groups of employees who have the same problems, owner-managed businesses, larger businesses, and multi-nationals. Click here to see our client list.
